HILLSBOROUGH, NC 26 JUNE 2018- The Orange County Schools Board of Education voted to install Ms. Christine Kreider as the new Principal of Hillsborough Elementary School. Ms. Kreider will begin July 2nd in her role with Orange County Schools (OCS). Currently, she is the Assistant Principal of E.M. Yoder Elementary School (Alamance-Burlington School System).
Ms. Kreider will hit the ground running when the school year begins in just a couple of weeks for Hillsborough Elementary. "I look forward to belonging to a school community that works together to pursue the joy of learning while maintaining high expectations for all," said Ms. Kreider. Along with her enthusiasm, Ms. Kreider brings a respect and affinity for Hillsborough Elementary. "I am really excited about the opportunity to serve in a school with such a rich history in the community," offered Ms. Kreider.
Ms. Kreider earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Pfeiffer University, and she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics from the University of North Carolina. Also, she completed her post-Master's Certificate in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She brings a full view of education with her experience being a National Board Certified Teacher and as a former math teacher at Eastern Alamance High School.
