To seek enrollment in a school that is not the assigned school for your child complete ONE of the following application links below.
A) Complete a Discretionary Transfer Application - This application is now CLOSED.
This application is for requesting a Discretionary Transfer from a student’s assigned school to another school within the district. Do not complete this application if you reside outside of an area served by the Orange County Schools. Individuals living outside of the Orange County Schools zone must request and submit a Discretionary Admissions Application. Per local policy, new applications will not be accepted to the following closed schools: Cameron Park Elementary, Grady A. Brown Elementary, New Hope Elementary, and Cedar Ridge. Returning students may reapply. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2018. Parents/Guardians will be notified of acceptance or denial on or before April 1, 2018.

B) Complete a Choice School Transfer Application - This application is now CLOSED.
I want to enroll in one of the choice programs listed above. The application deadline for the current application window is January 31, 2018, for the 2018 - 19 school year. Note: Families living outside of the Orange County Schools must complete Application B: Discretionary Admission to apply to a Choice School.
C) Complete a Discretionary Admission Application
I want my child to be admitted into the Orange County Schools, and I live in another school district or county not served by the Orange County Schools. The deadline to apply for admission to a Non-Choice School for the 2018-19 school year is February 28, 2018. Parents/Guardians will be notified of acceptance or denial on or before April 1, 2018.
D) Complete a Release Request Application
I want my child to be released from the Orange County Schools to enroll in another school district, county, private, or charter school. Requests for the 2018-2019 school year must be received by July 1, 2018. Letters of Release for the 2018-2019 school year will be processed after April 1, 2018.

Tuition Rate for Discretionary Admission Students
Students admitted into the Orange County Schools that are living in an attendance zone for another school district will be charged tuition if accepted into our school district unless the student meets an exemption qualification listed in Policy 4120: Admission to the Orange County Schools. The tuition rate for the 2018-2019 school year is $3,991 per child and must be paid in full prior to July 1, 2018.
Policies for Student Admission, Assignment, and Transfer
Current School Year: Families that have moved to the district after or fewer than ten days prior to the posted deadline may apply for a transfer within ten days of their receipt of written notice of the student's school assignment.
