Read to Achieve

Read to Achieve camp is provided for students currently in grades K-3, who are below grade level in reading.  Students will be engaged in activities that support building reading foundational skills, strengthening reading comprehension, and enhancing writing skills.

Classroom teachers will send invitations to students who they feel will benefit from this opportunity in May.  If you would like your child to participate in Read to Achive, but did not recieve an invitation, please contact your school's administrator.

Full STEAM Ahead, Orange County Schools’ summer camp focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics returns for its fourth year in 2018.  This hands-on, two-week adventure is filled with discovery, exploration, design, fun challenges, and creative projects. The camp focuses on OCS rising 6th, 7th, & 8th graders and is sure to expand the mind and stretch the imagination of its attendees!  Join us to explore computer programming, robotics, engineering design challenges, art, entertainment projects, as well as 3D modeling and printing.

Dates:  Monday - Friday, July 9 - 20
Times:  8:30 am - 3:00 pm
Location:  C.W. Stanford Middle School
Lunch will not be provided

Culinary Camp

The OCS Culinary Camp will teach rising 6th - 8th grade students the experience of how to safely prepare delicious dishes in a small group setting.

The camp will culminate with students serving a meal in their own pop-up restaurant!

Dates: Group 1: July 23 -27       Group 2: July 30 - Aug 3 
Location:  Cedar Ridge High School

No lunch or breakfast will be provided.
Parents are responsible for transportation.

C.W. Stanford Middle School Sounds of Summer Band Camp  

Monday August 6 – Friday August 10

Sounds of Summer Band Camp is designed for ALL band students (and those who want to be) enrolled in the C.W. Stanford Middle School Band Programs. Rising 6 grade band students will get a head- start on their instruments, focusing on the basics. For our rising 7 and 8 grade students, this camp offers the opportunity to gain additional instruction and enrichment that will challenge and motivate them in a fun summer camp atmosphere. Everyone is invited to our end of the week Potluck and Concert beginning at 6PM.

COSTS  --    $75 registration fee if received before June 15;

 $80 registration fee if received after June 15
(Fees cover the costs of snacks, t-shirt, equipment, materials and instructor fees. Students who register after the July 15 date are not guaranteed t-shirts.)

Session 1 for Rising 6 graders 9 am to 12 pm each day

Session 2 for Rising 7 & 8 graders 1 pm to 4 pm each day

Concert and Potluck at 6PM
