International Dot Day - Imagine the power and potential of millions of people around the world connecting, collaborating, creating and celebrating all that creativity inspires and invites.
Read-a-Thon - The CPES Parent Teacher Governance Organization (PTGO) invites all families to participate in a FUN event that promotes LITERACY and a LOVE of READING while raising much-needed funds for our school. In the past, our Read-a-Thons have raised money for a new playgournd, laptops, chairs for the media center, anti-bullying material, literacy sets, and more!
Hour of Code - Hour of Code is a one day event usually in the first week of December that allows students from all over the world to learn basic coding. Hour of Code is sponsored by Code.org, which also has a very useful website if you want to go beyond hour of code. During the hour of code week all our teachers take part in teaching their students how to code. Either by using their 1:1 laptops, the computer lab, or doing a non-online exercise.
Winter Concert - The winter concert is an event directed by Cameron Parks music teacher, Mr. Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell begins auditioning and training the students in October for the final performance about mid December.
Spring Auction - Spring Fling is our PTGO fundraiser for the school. It is during this event we raise money to help support the PTGO initiative, be that a new playground, new and updated technology for the teachers and students, or updated furniture for the Library.
