Universal Free Breakfast Program in Orange County Schools

The Universal Free Breakfast Program is available at no charge to all Orange County Schools elementary students, regardless of their household income. Breakfast is given free to any student who wants it that day. However, our Child Nutrition Services department claims the federal reimbursement at the correct income category for that student, so that a proper accounting of who is served breakfast is maintained.

Meeting the Needs of our Community: Child Nutrition and Food Service Program

HILLSBOROUGH, NC 13 NOVEMBER 2017- Summer Food Service Programs were established by the US Department. of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) in connection with the NC Department of Instruction (NCDPI) to ensure that children in low income households continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. Current High School Students Gain More Access to Their Transcripts

Orange County Schools students now have a new and more affordable way to request and send transcripts. Previously, current students incurred fees to request and send transcripts out-of-state. With a new transcript request system in place, students will not be charged to send transcripts in-state or out-of-state.
