    Dear Orange County Schools staff, students and families, and our friends in Alamance County, The loss of two young lives in our community this past weekend has been nothing short of devastating. On behalf of the entire Orange County Schools community, I want to express our deepest condolences to the families of Lyric Woods, our Cedar Ridge High School ninth-grader, and Devin Clark, an Eastern Alamance High School senior in our neighboring county. We are terribly sorry for your loss. To everyone who has known and loved these children, I am sorry. And I am terribly sad and frustrated that we find ourselves here, now. Talking in this way about our children.
