Students can register for the PSAT by signing up with the OHS test coordinator and paying the fee (2021 fee = $17). Fee waivers are available. Study materials are abundant at www.collegeboard.org. For information about interpreting scores Click Here.

The Pre-ACT is given to all NC sophomores in October, according to ACT and NC DPI requirements.

    2020-21 School Year

We will administer the PSAT-10 to 10th graders on April 20, 2021. Scores from the PSAT-10 are used by scholarship programs to look for eligible students but are not considered for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

It is NOT a mandatory test, but if you elect to participate the fee is $17 per student. To register for the PSAT-10 follow these steps.

    1) Complete this registration form.
    2) Submit your Payment of $17. Make checks payable to Orange High School. You may bring the payment to the school or you may mail the payment.

Note that your registration will NOT be considered complete nor will an exam be ordered for you if BOTH steps are not completed.

*No registration or fees will be accepted after Wednesday, February 24th.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email Mrs. Sauls kandis.sauls@orange.k12.nc.us.

    ACT

All NC juniors are required to take the ACT (for free) during school hours in March. Scores on this test may fulfill college admissions testing requirements, so students are encouraged to study and prepare to do their best. Study materials for the ACT and the Pre-ACT are available at ACTStudent.org.

Most colleges require students to submit scores for either the SAT or the ACT as part of the college application process. Students may elect to register for the SAT or ACT as scheduled by College Board or ACT.
