The PowerSchool web-based parent portal (there is even an app) gives parents access to real-time information including elementary aged students standards based grades, middle and high school aged students traditional grades, assignments, work habits/citizenship, attendance, schedules, and even personal messages from the teacher for each school your children attends in Orange County Schools.

5 Steps to create your parent PowerSchool account
1. Click on the Powerschool menu button in the quick links menu
2. On the Parent Sign in Page click on the Create Account tab
then
3. On the Create Parent Account page fill in your information.
- First Name
- Last Name
- (create) Desired Username
- (create) Password
- Re-enter password
4. When you are done entering your information scroll down to Link Students to Account and put in the child’s name and the information from the sheet you obtained from the main office. (District Code DMKC)
- Student Name
- Access ID (found on paper from the office)
- Access Password (found on paper from the office)
5. When you have completed filling in all the information scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Enter
**NOTE** If you already have a Power School Parent Portal account you can add additional students to this account.

The PowerSchool Parent Portal reflects a students' current progress towards each standard in the F1 column
Level 4 Exceeds grade level expectations
Independently demonstrates the skill or understands concepts at a level exceeding expectations for this standard at this time in the year
Level 3 Meets grade level expectations
Independently demonstrates the skill or understands concepts and meets expectations for this standard at this time in the year
Level 2 Approaching / developing
Sometimes demonstrates the skill or understands concepts and meets some expectations for this standard at this time in the year
Level 1 Below grade level expectations
Insufficient evidence or seldom demonstrates the skill or understands concepts and is not meeting expectations for this standard at this time in the year.
