Parent Observer Account
Parents (Observers) can link their Parent Canvas account to their student's account so they can see assignment lists, announcements, and other course content. If the teacher assigned work directly though Canas parent observers can view assignment names, due dates, status, scores (if teacher grade in Canvas) in the grades page. You may also be able to view whether the assignment includes comments, scoring details, or a scoring rubric. Observers can view the course content but cannot participate in the course.

What Is It?
PowerSchool is a suite of tools to monitor student progress and communicate with teachers. Real-time notifications alert parents to new grades and attendance as well as important class announcements and reminders. Research shows that students with involved parents tend to have fewer behavioral problems and better academic performance. PowerSchool makes it easy for parents to get and stay involved with convenient, time-saving solutions to track and monitor their child’s progress. See the sections below on how to create your PowerSchool Parent Account.
