Remote Asynchronous Learning
2025-2026 Remote Asynchronous Learning
Remote asynchronous learning takes place outside of the traditional school setting, such as via telephone conference, print material, online material, learning management systems, or other formats.
Asynchronous, remote learning days may be assigned in some inclement weather situations or when other issues may require schools or grade levels to shift to remote learning. Our goal on these days is for students to engage in learning activities that can be completed without joining a synchronous (real-time) class session. Assignments are provided digitally or in printed format.
Students in grades 6-12 are assigned a device; therefore, wherever possible, students will use their devices to complete assigned learning activities.
All middle and high school students are expected to bring their assigned Chromebook (including charger) home prior to an anticipated remote learning day.
Elementary students are day-users of technology while in school, and are therefore not expected to take devices home for remote learning.
When inclement weather or other difficulties arise, some students may experience power outages or loss of internet service. In all cases, students have at least 5 days from the date of the return to in-person instruction to complete and submit assignments.
