Welcome to Orange County Schools Athletics

The mission of Orange County Schools’ Interscholastic Athletic Program is to provide equal and safe opportunities for all students to participate in competitive sports, while fostering academics, sportsmanship, teamwork, and individual improvement.

Our Purpose with this information is to communicate to athletes, parents, coaches, and administrators the philosophies, standards, rules, and expectations applicable to participants in the Orange County Schools interscholastic athletic programs. The clear understanding and consistent application of these matters will help ensure that student athletes have the best possible experience in their respective athletic programs.

We uphold clear eligibility standards, safety protocols, and codes of conduct to ensure a positive experience for students, families, and the community. All student-athletes must complete registration through the DragonFly platform and maintain academic eligibility throughout the season.

Whether you're a student-athlete, coach, parent, or community supporter, we welcome you to be part of OCS Athletics—where we compete with integrity, grow through challenges, and represent our schools with pride.

Athletic Director | Lewis Newman, CAA

My name is Lewis Newman, and I serve as your Orange County Schools Athletic Director. Our goal is for our fans and visitors to enjoy the hard work, dedication, and competition that our student athletes will demonstrate in our athletic events. Our mission will be purpose-driven, not goal-driven, and we will have a strategic plan to empower people. Our action plan will be inspired by vision, fueled by enthusiasm, powered by purpose, driven to succeed, and we will expect excellence daily.

I have three basic rules that I have for all our student athletes: Have fun, be safe, learn the core values of being a student-athlete.
