OSNAC

The Orange County Schools Special Needs Advisory Council (OSNAC) is dedicated to fostering collaboration between parents, educators, administrators, and community members to strengthen support for students with special needs.

Meet Our Team

Our OSNAC Mission

Our mission is to create a welcoming space where people from all backgrounds come together to share experiences, identify opportunities for growth, and advocate for meaningful improvements in special education.

Through open dialogue, shared learning, and collective problem-solving, we aim to ensure that every student receives the educational resources, services, and opportunities they need to thrive.

The idea for OSNAC was born out of a simple but powerful truth:

when parents, educators, and the community work together, students with special needs receive better support, stronger advocacy, and greater opportunities.

Across our district, families and teachers have long expressed the need for a dedicated space where they can collaborate, ask questions, and help shape the special education experience for students.

Recognizing this, our school board and district leaders took a step forward by creating OSNAC, a council designed to bring people together who are ready to listen, learn, and take action.

OSNAC is not just another committee:

  • OSNAC is a partnership between families, schools, and the broader community.
  • OSNAC is a place where parents can share their experiences, where educators can discuss challenges and successes, and where community organizations can contribute valuable resources.
  • And more than anything, OSNAC is a sign of our deeply held belief that every child deserves to be seen, supported, and given the tools to reach their maximum potential.

As we begin this journey, our goal is simple – to create real change through collaboration.

We welcome all voices, we value all perspectives, and we invite you to be part of this effort to make a lasting positive impact on the lives of students with special needs in our district.
