The Orange County Schools Human Resources Department is seeking community donation to support teachers pursuing National Board Certification (NBC), a nationally recognized mark of instructional excellence.

This initiative directly invests in teacher quality, supports student achievement, and enhances long-term educator retention across Orange County Schools.

Why Sponsor National Board Certified Teachers?

Financial donations expand access to this certification pathway by offsetting the $1,900 fee the teacher must pay to enroll, funding coaching and application support, and recognizing educators for their achievement. Financial support of aspiring NBCTs has decreased due to state and federal budget limitations, and community partnership is essential to sustaining and growing this high-impact program.

Your monetary support helps remove financial barriers for teachers pursuing this rigorous certification, directly contributing to improved classroom instruction and student growth. By partnering in this effort, you are strengthening the educator workforce while demonstrating a visible commitment to excellence in our schools and community.

The teacher earns higher compensation and recognition for a job well done, student learning and engagement increase, and it reflects well on the district to have as many NBCTs on staff as a recruiting and retention tool. Your donation will support:

  • Reimbursement for teachers up to 100% of their application fee for achieving and maintaining Certification
  • Pay for coaching and support during the application process
  • Recognition of teachers for this achievement.
