Facility Use Requests
Welcome to Orange County Schools Facility Use. We are excited to partner with our community and share our facilities!
Currently, we are upgrading all procedures, guidelines, and costs to make sure we have the most updated and easiest way to manage our facilities' use. We will be using a new facility use platform called Master Library to make the process more efficient for all users. Please bear with us as we update our process, and don’t hesitate to give us feedback.
Applications for all facility requests are currently being accepted, subject to availability.
Requests should be submitted no later than 3 weeks in advance. Facility Use requests can start no earlier than 6 p.m. on days when school is in session. After notification of approval, all costs/fees associated with the rental are due 7 days in advance of first use.
All parties desiring to use our facilities must be registered.
New Users
If you are interested in requesting the use of any of our facilities, please complete the registration process to become a registered user of Orange County School Facilities.
Existing Users
If you have already registered with Master Library for Orange County Schools Facility Use Requests, you will not need to re-register.

A Complete Application Includes:
- Registration for Orange County Schools through the Master Library
- Please be reminded that our facilities are not available for rental until after 6 pm during school days.
- Log on and submit the application and request facility use
Please be reminded of the following important facility use requirements

Certificate of Liability Insurance (General Liability coverage for $1,000,000. This policy must include Orange County Schools and the Orange County Schools Board of Education as additionally insured. The address for both is 200 E. King Street, Hillsborough, NC, 27278.
- An application fee of $40 will be included in your invoice for facility use if your request is approved.
- Custodial Services are required at the rate of $40/hour, which are for the duration of facility use and additional time for clean up, if the facility use request is approved.
- Security is required for events expected to have at least 100 people in attendance. Fees will be assessed to the user by the security agency according to the agency's fees. Please contact Nate Farrington to schedule security.

Frequently Asked Questions
Athletic Facility Rentals
Because of the volume of requests, athletic facilities are available on a seasonal basis (for up to 3 months) based solely on space and custodial availability. There are costs associated with renting Orange County Schools facilities. To view pricing per facility, please click here.
Important Update
Efland-Cheeks Global Elementary and Central Elementary schools are not available for new requests. Construction is being done at both schools from 2023 through 2025. This page will be updated as the situation changes. Thank you for your understanding.
