Tonight we want to share a few academic calendar reminders and invite you to upcoming events where you can share your voice and make a difference for your child’s education:

🗓️ School Calendar Reminders
- Monday, April 7 is the beginning of the last nine weeks at year-round Hillsborough Elementary. Welcome back, HES staff and students!
- Monday, April 7 is also a required staff workday for traditional calendar schools. No school for students on the traditional calendar.
- All schools and facilities will be closed Friday, April 18, a holiday for staff and students on both calendars.
Bond Input Survey and Gallery Walks April 7, 8, and 9
With new detailed options available, the Orange County Board of Education seeks community input on major school construction projects to be funded by the school bond. Everyone is invited to participate online, in-person, or both through Friday, April 11, 2025:

- Join district staff at one of four in-person gallery walks where the public can explore options and meet district leaders to ask questions in person:
- Monday, April 7, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Welcome Center, 920 Corporate Drive, Hillsborough
- Monday, April 7, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Whitted Human Services Center, 300 W. Tryon Street, Hillsborough
- Tuesday, April 8, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Orange County Schools, 200 E. King Street, Hillsborough
- Wednesday, April 9, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Orange County Schools, 200 E. King Street, Hillsborough

OCS Spring Job Fair, April 9 and April 12
The OCS 2025 Spring Job Fair is here, with more ways for you to connect… Participate online, in person, or both!
- Wednesday, April 9: Virtual Job Fair 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. via Zoom
- Saturday, April 12: In-Person Job Fair 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Cedar Ridge High School, 1125 New Grady Brown School Rd, Hillsborough

Share Feedback on Math Curriculum Options: April 8, 9, 14, and 15
Everyone in the OCS community is invited to share feedback on math curriculum resources for potential future use in kindergarten through 12th grade in Orange County Schools.
Visit the Welcome Center between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on April 8, 9, 14, or 15 to review samples from finalists being considered by a committee of teachers, administrators, and instructional support staff.
An introduction for all visitors will be available in English and Spanish. Interpretation services will be provided on April 14 and 15 or by appointment (see for details). Please visit our website for complete details on how to participate.
