Calendar Reminders: Monday, April 7 is the first day of the 4th nine weeks for year-round students and a required staff workday (no school for students) on the traditional calendar. Friday, April 18 is a holiday for all staff and students, and all facilities will be closed that day.

Resources for Students and Families: OCS has updated the links on our “Parents & Students” page to include resources for family support found at orangecountync.gov, the Orange County website. Explore family health resources, as well as parks and recreation information and volunteer opportunities in our community. Visit the new page today!

Input on School Bond Projects: Join us for four Gallery Walks to review major project options on April 7, 8, and 9. Get the full schedule, review options, and take the survey on our School Bond Updates page before the April 11 deadline, all on the Bond Updates page. 

OCS Spring 2025 Job Fair: Two ways to connect with one great team! Our Virtual Job Fair is this Wednesday, April 9 via Zoom from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and the In-Person Job Fair is at Cedar Ridge on Saturday, April 12 from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. Learn more and reserve your seat today!

Math Curriculum Review and Input: Everyone is welcome to review resources for math curriculum and share feedback about the potential use of each option in Orange County Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. Visit the Welcome Center from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on April 8, 9, 14, or 15 to explore resources and let us know what you think! Full details here.

Save the Date for Upcoming Events! Plan to attend the OCS Night of Poetry and crowning of our next Youth Poet Laureate on Thursday, April 17 at Cedar Ridge High School, starting at 6:00 p.m. Plus, we have two events hosted by the OCS Family Academy. If your student plans to try out for sports in middle or high school, join us for “All About Athletics” at Cedar Ridge on Wednesday, April 23, starting at 6:00 p.m. And everyone everywhere is invited to refresh, recharge, and reconnect with Family Academy at the Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, May 3, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Orange High School.
