Christi Hemingway Named November 2025 Classified Employee of the Month!

Congratulations to Christi Hemingway, cafeteria manager at A.L. Stanback Middle School, for being named OCS Classified Employee of the Month for November 2025! 

This program organized by OCS Human Resources recognizes classified employees—non-licensed staff—who provide essential support services to the school system and work in positions such as:

• Administrative staff (e.g., office assistants, clerks)
• Custodians and maintenance workers
• Bus drivers and transportation staff
• Teacher assistants (paraprofessionals)
• School nutrition staff
• Technology support personnel

Here is why Hemingway was chosen, according to the staff member who nominated her: 

“I am pleased to nominate Christi Hemingway in recognition of her exceptional dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the students and staff of Orange County Schools.

“Despite a recent staffing shortage, she has successfully managed cafeteria operations with only one full-time employee while continuing to serve more than 200 students daily.

“Christi has fostered a positive and welcoming cafeteria environment where students and staff alike enjoy coming together for meals. Her ability to sustain high levels of performance and morale, even in challenging circumstances, exemplifies her commitment to excellence and service.”
