Congratulations to OCS 2025-2026 Retirees!

Nearly 40 staff members are signing off in 2025-2026 with over 870 years of state service to their credit.

OCS was proud to roll out the red carpet to say:

You are a star, you will be missed, and we wish you the best in your retirement!

Appreciation for All Our Retirees

As OCS Chief Human Resource Officer Jeff Koweek said to open the recent event for retirees, "Tonight is a celebration of all the positive impact you have had on students, staff, the district, and the community this year and in years past. Thank you for helping students be safe and be successful. You made a difference and you are appreciated!"

On behalf of the Board of Education, Vice Chair Wendy Padilla said, "You are the ones who bring our district’s mission to life. Thank you for your tireless work, your patience, and your unwavering commitment to our students. We wish you a retirement filled with joy, relaxation, and the exact same fulfillment you’ve given to our district over the years."

OCS Superintendent Dr. Danielle Jones said, "Tonight is not just about recognizing years of service. It is about honoring lives of meaning and careers built on purpose. You devoted so much of your life to supporting students and lifting up fellow educators. You gave your energy to helping others succeed, often putting the needs of others before your own.

"And now, this next chapter belongs to you. (No more alarm clocks!)"
