OCS Remote Learning Day #5 Friday, January 30, 2026 - Facilities Closed

Remote Learning Day Friday, January 30, 2026

Friday, January 30, 2026 will be the fifth Remote Learning Day for Orange County Schools this year. All schools and facilities will remain closed.

We have remained in constant contact with the NC Department of Transportation, National Weather Service, local law enforcement, and emergency services. We appreciate their collaboration helping us make safety our highest priority. Our Operations team has also continued clearing any hazardous spots on our campuses.

However, many routes for buses and motorists remain unsafe for travel in Orange County this evening, and freezing temperatures will continue much of the day on Friday.

Students and staff in all grade levels (K-12) will continue in remote learning on Friday. We are watching the forecast for the weekend very closely and will make an announcement about next Monday as early as possible.
