NC Summer Meals

Orange County Schools will provide free summer meal boxes available through OCS School Nutrition Services! Five day meals boxes will be available for children in the community from June 22 to July 29.

Five-Day Meal Boxes: 

Families in the community can register now to pick up five-day meal boxes for children in the community (ages 4-18) from June 22 to July 29, 2026. Register online at https://bit.ly/summermeals2026.

OCS School Nutrition Services can provide five breakfasts and five lunches each week for children ages 4 to 18 from June 22 through August 5. Meals will be distributed on the schedule below except for July 6 for observance of July 4. Food is available on a first-come, first-served basis. (Walk-up registration is also available at each pick-up location.) 

  • New Hope Elementary School, Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    • 1900 New Hope Church Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514 
    • There will be no pickup at New Hope this week due to July 4th observance. New Hope registrants may pick up at an alternate site on July 7th or 8th due to the holiday observance on July 6th.
  • Pathways Elementary School, Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    • 431 Strouds Creek Rd, Hillsborough, NC 27278
  • Gravelly Hill Middle School, Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
    • 4801 W Ten Rd, Efland, NC 27243

Families are asked to read details carefully and fill out the form accurately, making note of the selected pick-up site. Provided information will be verified for accountability purposes. Note that each location has a specific pick-up day.

After completing the form, Orange County Schools will contact families to confirm details. Meals will be either frozen, or pre-cooked, or shelf-stable. Preparation instructions will be included. To assist OCS School Nutrition Services, families are asked to please register in advance, so that everyone can receive meals every week during the summer.
