OCS names new leader for Central Elementary School!
Congratulations to our very own Kandis Sauls! She has been named the new principal of Central Elementary School for the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
Ms. Sauls will officially take on the top leadership role at Central on July 1, 2021. She was previously serving as assistant principal for Orange High School, a position she held since 2017. Prior to her service in school administration here, she was an Instructional Coach and classroom teacher for Alamance-Burlington School System and Guilford County Schools, respectively. She has more than 18 years of experience in education under her belt.
Ms. Sauls had this to say:
I am extremely honored to be named the next Principal at Central Elementary School. I look forward to building relationships with the wonderful staff and students at Central, as well as connecting with families and the community. Together we will continue the work to move Central Elementary toward further success and achievement for all students.
Kandis Sauls holds a B.A. in English Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington; an M.A. in Curriculum, Instruction and Supervision, and a School Administration add-on to her license, both from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Join us in congratulating Ms. Sauls as she steps into her new role here in OCS! We look forward to the impact you will have upon staff, students, families, and the entire learning community at Central Elementary School.
