OCS welcomes two new administrators!

Taylor Golding

Mr. Taylor Golding has been named Dean of Students for Efland-Cheeks Global Elementary School. He comes to us from Wake County Public Schools where he served as a 5th Grade Teacher. He has 8 years of experience in education. Mr. Golding graduated with a dual-degree in both general and special education. He also earned a graduate degree in School Leadership and Management. He has spent the last several years teaching 4th and 5th grades and taking on various additional leadership roles.

He said, “As the first Dean of Students at Efland-Cheeks Global Elementary School, I am most excited to begin shaping this role to fit what our students need. Through building relationships and working collaboratively with staff and families, I hope to be an additional resource for our school community and a constant advocate for student growth.”

Tyler Womble

Mr. Tyler Womble has taken the ropes at Pathways Elementary School as assistant principal. He comes to us from Guilford County School System in Greensboro, North Carolina where he served as school social worker/administration team member. He has six years of experience in education and two years of experience in mental and public health.

After serving as an instructional substitute for the Guilford County School System for several years, he was appointed to the dual role of School Social Worker and Administrative Team Member for Oak Hill Elementary in High Point. He took on a variety of leadership roles, while serving in this capacity, and he brings to the table a background in childhood/adolescent psychiatric care.

“As Assistant Principal for Pathways Elementary School, I am most looking forward to the opportunity to serve students, staff, and community in new and exciting ways,” said Womble. “I hope to make the most of each day and to ensure that optimal learning occurs for all students of Pathways Elementary. I AM SO HAPPY TO BE A PATHWAYS STAR!”
