As a result of continued collaboration with the Orange County Health Department and consideration of current Executive Orders and the StrongSchoolsNC Public Health Toolkit (K-12) -- the Health Department supports our decision to strongly encourage masking for all individuals, even at our outdoor graduation ceremonies. In addition the Health Department supports our decision to maintain a 6 ft. distance between all families.  While the CDC states only fully vaccinated individuals are “safe” in public venues without masking and social distancing, there is no way to know who has/has not been fully vaccinated in a setting such as an outdoor graduation.
